Moore Details
Moore Career College offers a diploma in massage therapy. Massage therapy is defined as the manipulation of soft tissue and connective tissue – along with the balancing of body energy – to enhance one’s health and sense of well-being. Massage therapy is one of the few careers that perfectly balances science and art. From a biological standpoint, massage improves circulation, provides pain management and pain relief, increases body awareness, helps correct system imbalances, reduces stress, enhances well-being and increases vitality. As an art, massage therapy is a unique means of creating a positive exchange of mental, emotional and spiritual energies for a comprehensive or holistic approach to healing.
Your course of study will include a foundation in anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. You’ll also learn hands-on techniques such as Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Sports Massage, Subtle Energy work, Adaptive Modalities, Eastern Modalities, a wide range of Spa Therapies such as Hydrotherapy and Thermal Therapies, and Clinical Practice. The diploma program prepares the student for positions in the massage therapy industry / healthcare field.
